The Xerox DocuMate™ 162 color document scanner scans up to 50 images per minute (ipm) in duplex mode and includes a 50-page automatic document feeder that handles everything from business cards and checks to legal size documents. Scanner buttons come pre-programmed to scan, e-mail or copy in searchable PDF file format, but the user can customize them to scan to print, scan to archive, scan to network, and scan to OCR. The Visioneer OneTouch driver bundled with the DocuMate 162 scanner also supports automatic delivery of scanned images to applications such as Microsoft SharePoint®, Kofax Ascent® Collection Server, EMC Captiva® QuickScan Pro®, FileBound®, Laserfiche®, DocuWare®, Xerox DocuShare™ and Datacap Taskmaster®.

Bundled Software
The new scanner includes bundled software worth more than $400, including Visioneer OneTouch with Kofax VRS technology, Nuance PaperPort®, OmniPage® Pro OCR and TWAIN, certified ISIS and WIA drivers. Nuance PaperPort is a desktop document management solution that enables users to view and assemble mixed document types into PDF files that can be managed and accessed locally or on the network. OmniPage Pro converts high volumes of paper, PDF and forms into files that can searched and edited.

The Xerox DocuMate 162 scanner is priced at $695 and is available immediately through retail and online channel partners, major resellers and Xerox and its agents and dealers.
